VideocraticMedia EP Robert Corsini first interviewed Julian Assange in 2016 at the Ecuadorian embassy in London for the feature documentary ‘Architects of Denial’. Assange addressed the mountains of information released by WikiLeaks. It was about the political factors surrounding the Armenian genocide denial. This was especially true within the US Congress.

Three years later, after the film’s release, Robert, having worked with Assange as a journalist and researcher, understood the importance of WikiLeaks and its vital role in holding global power elites accountable in the modern digital age of journalism.

With his new company, VideocraticMedia, Robert joined a group of longtime Southern California political activists and 1st Amendment advocates to help produce content in defense of Julian Assange and freedom of the press.

The aim of the collaboration was to create content that would demonstrate the grave injustice of Assange’s decade-long persecution and was one of the first public examples of grassroots, multimedia organizing in support of support Assange in the U.S.

VM has worked closely with Vincent Di Stefano, Assange Defense national organizer and ACLU of So Cal board member, in Pasadena, California, in 2023.

Robert Corsini interviewed Professor Noam Chomsky, former US Military analyst and Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg, John and Gabriel Shipton (Assange’s father and brother), and many other important voices gathered around the Assange case.

In the wake of Julian Assange’s recent release from solitary confinement in London’s Belmarsh prison and subsequent ‘guilty’ plea, VM will continue its work challenging the false narratives used to discredit journalists and ‘whistleblowers’ like Assange and the truths he published regarding US war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
